Anne M. LeMire, CFA, CPA 

Anne M. LeMire, CFA, CPA, serves as the Managing Director Emeritus of BFH Tax, bringing more than three decades of expertise in investment management, fixed income strategies, and financial oversight. A seasoned financial executive, Ms. LeMire, has played a pivotal role in shaping tax and investment strategies for institutional and private clients, leveraging her deep knowledge of accounting, taxation, and portfolio management.

Before joining BFH Tax, Ms. LeMire served as the Chief Investment Officer of American National Insurance Company’s securities division until the company’s sale to Brookfield Reinsurance in 2022. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President of Fixed Income and Equity Investments, where she managed multi-billion-dollar portfolios and spearheaded investment strategies across diverse asset classes. She initially joined American National Insurance Co. in 2010 as Vice President of Fixed Income, demonstrating her expertise in risk management, asset allocation, and financial analysis. Additionally, she served as President of American National Registered Investment Advisor, Inc., overseeing financial operations and governance.

From 1990 to 1999, Ms. LeMire served as Assistant Vice President and Controller at Securities Management & Research, Inc. (SM&R Investments). From 1999 to 2010, she held the role of Vice President and Portfolio Manager at SM&R Investments, leading the management of multiple investment funds, including the SM&R Money Market Fund, High Yield Bond Portfolio, SM&R Balanced Fund, and Growth Fund. Her leadership ensured optimal investment performance while maintaining a disciplined approach to risk management. She departed SM&R in 2010 following the company’s sale and subsequently joined American National Insurance Company.

Ms. LeMire earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1985 and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1990. She further solidified her credentials by obtaining the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2001, underscoring her expertise in investment analysis and financial management.

As Managing Director Emeritus of BFH Tax, Ms. LeMire continues to provide strategic guidance, leveraging her extensive background in investment management and taxation to enhance client solutions and drive sustainable financial growth. Her deep understanding of financial markets and regulatory frameworks makes her an invaluable asset to the leadership team.
